libaudio-mpd-perl software package provides module to communicate with MPD servers, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libaudio-mpd-perl
libaudio-mpd-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libaudio-mpd-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libaudio-mpd-perl *
You will get with libaudio-mpd-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
